The research was carried out with a total of 54 students, 27 of which were in the experimental group and 27 in the control group, studying in a state primary school in the Sorgun district of Yozgat in the academic year of 2022-2023. The research was modeled according to a quasi-experimental design with pre-test post-test control group. While activities based on web 2.0 tools designed by the researchers were used in the experimental group, teaching based on the current curriculum was carried out in the control group and the actual implementation lasted for 6 weeks. The data were collected with the social studies course academic achievement test developed by the researchers. SPSS 25 program was used in the analysis of the data and the data were analyzed with the independent samples t-test and dependent samples t-test in line with the research sub-problems. As a result of the statistical analyzes performed, there was no significant difference between the pre-test scores of the experimental and control groups; It was observed that there was a significant difference between the post-test scores. In addition, it was observed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test mean scores of both the experimental group and the control group according to the inter-group dependent samples t-test results. According to the results of the research, it can be said that social studies teaching based on web 2.0 tools will contribute to the academic success of students.
