Digital monitoring allows parents to protect their children from potential online dangers by keeping track of the websites they visit, the applications they use, and their online interactions. While this can provide a sense of security for both parents and children, it may also limit children's independence and affect trust. Monitoring tools give parents control over their children's internet activities but being constantly watched can restrict personal freedom. This could lead to reduced decision-making abilities and hinder the development of independence in an on-line environment. Consequently, self-confidence may suffer as well, preventing them from honing their skills in navigating the digital world. Therefore, it is crucial to strike a balance when implementing digital monitoring strategies. Parents should prior-itize ensuring safety while respecting their child's autonomy and providing opportunities for skill-building in managing online experiences. Open communication plays a vital role in making children feel secure while supporting their autonomy. Despite potential drawbacks, certain precautions are necessary to ensure online safety and address parental concerns effectively. These measures include open dialogue with children about digital mon-itoring practices, setting appropriate boundaries, educating them on responsible internet usage and privacy matters
