Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, gelecekte Açık ve Uzaktan Öğrenme alanına yön verecek profesyonellerin Metaverse’e ve Metaverse’de eğitimin ne şekilde yer bulacağına ilişkin görüşlerinin belirlenmesidir. Durum çalışması olarak desenlenen bu araştırmada, bütüncül tek durum deseni tercih edilmiştir. Araştırma, Uzaktan Eğitim Anabilimdalı’nda doktora yapan adaylarla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılarla yapılan yapılandırılmamış görüşmeler sonucunda elde edilen veriler, içerik analizi tekniği ile analize tabi tutulmuştur. Analiz sonuçlarına göre katılımcıların Metaverse’ün tanımına yönelik görüşleri; ontolojik çerçeve, sosyal ve ekonomik çerçeve, etik çerçeve ve metaforik çerçeve olmak üzere 4 farklı temada birleşmiştir. Katılımcıların Metaverse’de eğitime ilişkin görüşleri ise, öğrenen hazırbulunuşluğu, öğrenen avantajları, öğreten rol ve yeterlikleri, eğitim türü, ortam, araç ve teknolojiler, içerik ve tasarım ve öğrenene kazandırılabilecek beceriler olmak üzere 8 farklı temada ortaya koyulmuştur. Bu temalar ve temalara ilişkin alt temalar katılımcı görüşlerinden doğrudan alıntılar yapılarak paylaşılmıştır.
